Brumback’s owl monkeys (Aotus brumbacki) is an endemic nocturnal monkey from the Colombian Llanos (Figure 1). They live in family groups, where the father seems to be the one taking care of the baby as in other nocturnal monkeys of genera Aotus. Although we still don’t know much of their diet, they have been seen eating insects and fruits in forest fragments of the study area of this project.

El mono nocturno llanero (Aotus brumbacki) es un mono endémico de los Llanos Orientales de Colombia (Figura 1). Viven en grupos familiares, donde el padre parece ser quien cuida de la cría como en otras especies de monos nocturnos del género Aotus. Aunque aún  no sabemos mucho sobre la dieta de estos monos, se han observado comiendo insectos y frutos en los fragmentos de bosque del área de estudio de este proyecto.
