Red howler monkeys (Alouatta seniculus)

Red howler monkeys are one of the most widely distributed primates in Colombia. They live in all types of forest from 0 – 3200 m. Red howler monkeys live in groups with one or two adult males, two to four adult females and their offspring. Their diet is composed mainly of leaves, fruits, and flowers.


Los monos aulladores rojos son una de as especies de mnos más ampliamente distribuidos en Colombia. Habitan en todo tipo de boosques de 0 – 3200 m. Viven en grupos con uno o dos machos adultos, dos a cuatro hembras adultas y sus bebes y juveniles. Su dieta esta compuesta principalmente de hojas, frutos y flores.
